Counsel for 28-year-old resident of Takoradi, Josephine Panyin Mensah, who is accused of faking her pregnancy and kidnapping, Fiifi Buckman has revealed that apart from the accused, they will be relying on two other witnesses to open their defence.

He said it is not the number of witnesses that will determine whether one has a good case or not but the quality of witnesses.

According to 3News, the accused, Josephine Panyin Mensah was on Thursday, May 19, 2022 expected to, for the first time, narrate her side of the case for fake kidnapping and pregnancy to the court, after testimonies of eight witnesses had been heard.

Unfortunately, when the case was called, Counsel Buckman had not filed their witness statement.

Presiding Judge Michael Ampadu, therefore, ordered her counsel to file their witness statement before the next adjourned date, which is June 7, 2022.
