As part of activities marking the weeklong celebration of the 2024 edition of the Awombrew Akwambo Festival, a bible quiz has been organised for the children in the Awombrew community.
In all, three groups contested in the Awombrew 2024 Akwambo festival Bible quiz with each group represented by three contestants.
At the end group one came took the first position with 24 points, group three came 2nd with 23 points with group two placing 3rd with a total of 18 points.
Prize reward included an undisclosed amount of cash and books were prsented to the various winners to motivate the contestants who put in their best to excel.
The contestants expressed their gratitude to the organiser for giving them the opportunity to participate in the contest since it gave them the opportunity to exhibit their knowledge and inteligence in answering questions from the bible.
They called on the organisers to ensure that the quiz is maintained as part of the activities marking the celebration of the Awombrew Akwambo festival since it created a platform for learning from their colleagues.
Quiz master Hon. Noah Boakye, United Nations Youth Association Ghana minister for sports and entertainment was ably assisted by Mr. Francis Dodd, who set the questions as well as the scorer Madam Grace and timekeeper Jennifer ofori.
This year’s edition of the Gomoa Awomberew Kokodam Akwambo Festival which begun on the 5th and is expected to end on the 11th February 2024.
Other activities include a Soccer tournament, Bonfire Night (Vigil), Modeling, Eating competition, Dancing competition, and a float.
