The Caucus For Mature Democrats including me, comrade Baba Iddrisu, the Executive Secretary of the Caucus has made this point very clear since Otumfuor was not man enough to ask the mother serpent of corruption, arrogant President Akufo Addo to also account to him and his region, physical infrastructure projects he and his NPP government has built during the election 2020 campaign season, as the former President John Dramani Mahama did before him.
It is the duty of Otumfuor to talk on behalf of himself, the region, and the inhabitants of the Ashanti region but he woefully failed to do that.
Why then must he seek to advise a failed president and his NPP on private sector participation instead of telling him to stop renaming his opponent’s projects and instead, outdoor, name and or rename his own projects? Such hypocrisy is never needed anywhere in our politics in the country.
Again, hhen we hear people say former President Kuffuor is a statesman, we get LIVID. How can any statesman remain quiet when corruption, state borrowing, mismanagement, and wastage are so high that they bring the economy to a junk status, collapsing the central bank of Ghana? Which patriotic Ghanaian would call such a hypocrite a statesman?
He could have spoken to save the economy when the writing was clear on the wall, the wrong direction or wrong path President Akufo Addo the corruption clearing agent was moving the country.
People must stop the nonsense attribution of statesmanship to former president Kuffuoh because it annoys the good people of Ghana. He doesn’t deserve it and the Caucus For Mature Democrats will never hide the truth anywhere and anytime.
Ghanaians deserve better and must ensure to keep the NPP far away from the reach of the presidency for 200 years after election 2024 to serve as punishment for the NPP’s corruption and deliberate collapse of the Ghanaian economy and the central bank of Ghana.
