Merry Christmas and a Victorious New Year to you Your Excellency…
I come to you in peace and with a couple of revelations that may be termed as a suggestion which is drawn out from my opinion…
Your excellency, I know you are very greatful for the several opportunities the NDC and Ghanaians has given you over the years to build yourself, as well as exhibiting your intelligence and dynamism…
You have a term of 4 years to lead and serve Ghana again before finally retiring as a statesman after which another person will have to continue from where you paused…
There are some possible individuals of which one of them shall automatically succeed you… These fellows are (1) Your running mate/ vice president… (2) Dr. Bawumia… (3) Kennedy Agyapong… and (4) Alan Kojo Kyeremanteng…
I know the above names may be confusing to you, or better put, you may be wondering the rationale behind my presumption… Now let me break it down for you…
The one who stands the best chance to succeed you is your running mate/ vice president… This is because, if same person becomes the flag bearer of the NDC in 2027, he will have the benefit of incumbency, as well as the support of the masses if your four years with him restores some level of trust and an economic revival and recovery…
He will as well have the opportunity to learn enough under you within the four years as your vice president and same shall help him make rational decisions that shall aide his own success and the party’s victory in 2028…
The second person who is likely to succeed you is the flag bearer of the NPP… Bawumia is the current vice president and flag bearer of the NPP… Bawumia is likely to be their flag bearer again in 2027…
Kennedy Agyapong is as well likely to be the flag bearer of the NPP in 2027… This is very possible because of these few reasons… (1) The state machinery and the executive powers, as well as the party leadership of the NPP that protected BAWUMIA in 2023 shall and may respectively not be there to do same for him in 2027… For this reason, showdown from Ken is highly possible, considering the remarkable impact he made in their just ended primaries…
The third name I mentioned is the lord of the butterflies … Mr. Alan K. Kyeremanteng is also highly possible to become the flag bearer of the NPP come 2027… I know this may make a little or no sense to you, however, I indulge your patience to permit me bring you to the light you may or may not be privil to…
Allan Cash, though has formed his own political party, and has decided to contest as an independent presidential candidate, is seriously being lobbied to return to his root, which is the NPP… This lobbying is being done through the former president John A. Kuffuor…
Mr. MAHAMA, may I humbly remind you that, a good researcher is a good and a patient reader… In other words, he who despises reading, lacks facts and information… For this reason, I encourage you to take your time and read, study, and analyze this article carefully as the great communicationist that you are… At the end of the whole article, you will know why names of personalities from the NPP are being mentioned as your possible next successors…
Former president Kuffuor has been met twice just after the NPPs presidential primaries by some stalwarts of the NPP including some ‘powerful religious and business players’ who are associated with the NPP… A third meeting was scheduled with him in this same month of December, of which I have not yet had the opportunity to consult my ears… The main purpose of these meetings with the former president is to lobby him to convince his god-son, Alan to return to the NPP…
The former president welcomed the appeal positively and wholeheartedly, but with a very important condition among others… The said condition from the former president was and is that, he shall do as they’ve asked of him on the greatest condition that Alan is made the running mate of Dr. Bawumia… It’s getting interesting right…??? 😀😀😀
Now let me shock you the most… Dr. Bawumia and his team welcomed the condition from Mr. Kuffuor with all his heart… Now the problem is the ‘power brokers’… Nana Addo placed Bawumia there for a strategic reason of which I know you know much… therefore he will not allow any such thing that may shatter his ambition come to pass… Nana Addo and his Akyim Mafias are therefore against such condition from President Kuffuor…
Bawumia on the other hand is doing everything possible to make sure that he gets Alan back just to strengthen his front in the Ashanti Region…
One of the mediums Bawumia is using to achieve his aim is the media… He has tasked some key media personalities through his team, to speak to the party to allow him make his choice of a running mate…
Sadly, some NDC key guys are equally doing things of which they know nothing about its repercussions… For instance, some NDC communicators that keeps insulting Alan without knowing that same could aide Bawumia’s bid of getting him back to the NPP… and if Alan gets back to the NPP, I don’t think you want to pretend you do not know its effect against us…
Sadly, even such a solid NDC voice such as Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has added his voice to this detrimental call of allowing Bawumia make his own choice of running mate… He may not know what is at stake, but after reading and analysing this message, I suggest you quickly draw his attention to it and give him reason why he should pray Bawumia is not allowed to make his own choice…
If Bawumia succeeds in choosing his own running mate, it means Alan shall return to the NPP, and so the NPP and the butterfly🦋 shall then become one and its dangerous for the victory of the umbrella…
If the above paragraph happens, then, Alan may contest the next presidential primaries of the NPP, and it is possible he wins, so it is therefore possible he succeeds you sir…
So I believe we are clear on that part…
Now to the main issue… You and you alone has the power to decide who succeeds you… If your plan is for your vice president to succeed you, then there are key things you must take note of in selecting your running mate…
First, let me take you back to why you lost after being in power for just 1 term… Your Excellency, you were tagged as a corrupt leader… You were also tagged as an incompetent leader… Your party, my party, our party, the NDC could not do much to clear your name… One of the reasons is that most people who had the opportunity to do so were being diplomatic and could not do the needful as far as communication is concern to dispute those allegations, and so, they sticked on/ around you until Ghanaians believed same and voted you out…
When Nana Addo took over from you, just in his first year, Ghanaians felt true corruption and incompetence… Despite all that, Nana Addo was still retained, even though we claim what we could not and have still not been able to substantiate… During the NDC’s last National Elections campaign, the then General Secretary of the party in the person of Mr. John Asiedu Nketia, who was then contesting to become the National Chairman, and by the decision of the delegates, emerged victorious and is now the National Chairman, accused the then National Chairman, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo, who is now a member of the Council of Elders that, it was never true that we won the 2020 general election… General Mosquito alleged that, the system for result collation which Mr. Ofosu Ampofo put in place crashed after collating just 5 regions and for that matter, the NDC actually had no evidence of our results being collated… lol… This was actually coming from the Chief Administrative Officer of the party of whome is now the National Chairman and the former National Chairman now a member of the party’s advisory body (council of elders)…
So you see, the NPP despite being highly corrupt and incompetent were retained whether legitimately or otherwise… Do you know why…??? Because they always put competent machinery in place, and also take advantage of their human capital… This is why Bawumia is doing everything possible to bring back Alan… Not because he likes Alan, but because he knows he needs Alan…
The NPP pushes their best noise makers to represent them on various major media houses… The NPP will not allow you make your sensible point when they know it will expose their government… They’ll do everything to distract you from making you point… The hosts are mostly sympathetic to them because they take good care of them
The NDC on the other hand will think they are doing someone a favour by given them a media platform, so sometimes you see a Ga or a Voltarian who isn’t fluent in the akan language being sent to UTV, Adom, and other major Akan speaking media houses, and that fellow though may be very intelligent, be unable to send a reasonable message to his viewers/ listeners, whiles competent individuals who could have done justice to issues sits back and watch, because they do not belong to a particular cartel, or their names cannot be found in the good books of some so-called power brokers…
This caused your defeat in 2016… because we could not collate our results… Same repeated itself in 2020 and again you lost to the most incompetent, insensitive, and corrupt government…
Ghanaians are going to vote against Bawumia mainly on corruption and incompetence grounds… This clearly shows that Ghanaians hates corruption and anyone that is perceived to be corrupt disgusts them…
Now let’s get back on track… If certain misfortunes must be prevented, then here are some key factors to consider before settling on anyone as your running mate…
(1) Your running mate must be someone with rich political experience
(2) You running mate must be that man who understands political and party administrative works…
(3) Your running mate must be an independent mind who cannot be pushed around by some ‘greedy bastards’ for their selfish interest without considering what becomes of you, the NDC, and Ghana…
(4) Your running mate must be that man that is a unifier and will be willing to put competent persons in places they best fit into without considering which camp the fellow belongs…
Now your Excellency, the above are to get the NDC back on track… Below also are qualities that shall entice Ghanaians and even the international communities to give you the needed support to win 2024 general elections…
(1) Your running mate must be someone with a fair character trait of integrity, transparency, and corruption-free mentality…
(2) You running mate must be someone with rich political achievements… Kindly note that it is simply not enough for someone to occupy certain position, but what are/ were the legacies of the individual when he occupied such position/ s…??? So for instance, if I am a former minister, and you are to consider me as your running mate, what is/ are the legacy/ ies or my footprints in the ministry I manned that we can use as campaign messages to give hope to Ghanaians…???
(3) You running mate must be a character that appeals to the media, the academia, the business communities, and the masses…
(4) Your running mate must be someone whose demeanor alone shall be intimidating to our opponents such that they may not gather any courage to spit ill of him…
(5) Your running mate must possess that charisma that shall discourage the security services, and even the EC from doing anything that may be intimidating to the NDC and the good people of Ghana… and should the security services or the EC attempts anything unusual, he should be able to stand up to them and ensure that the right thing is done…
(6) Your running mate must as well have an international appeal… You and I can not pretend that foreign forces do not influence our elections and as such same should be considered…
(7) Finally, your running mate must be resourceful… Mr. John, resourcefulness does not represent the likes of Cecilia Dapaah who has stolen state monies and hidden under her bed… neither I’m I referring to the likes of Abu Jinapor whose poly tank does not store water but rather stolen monies from the state… A resourceful man is that man whose selection as your running mate alone shall attract huge sponsorship from various rich and powerful sources… So your running mate’s previous working experience/ s outside politics, his legacies in those his previous work places, and his working relationship with them should as well be taken into consideration…
Now if you heed to my advice/ suggestions above, you would have succeeded in making a good succession plan for the party which will make your vice president the next president after you…
Now Mr. Mahama, if you took a critical note of this letter, you’ll realize that I used he he and man man where ever I used a pronoun to describe your running mate… Here are the reason…
My big brother from another mother, I know you are under pressure by some individuals to retain your 2020 running mate. Whiles it is obvious that a lot of these individuals are making this call out of their individual and selfish interests, it is worth acknowledging that some others who are making same call are of genuine intentions and do not make same out of any ulterior motive at all… However, I will like to bring some facts which are obvious to your notice…
(1) You and I may agree if we must be honest to ourselves that Ghanaians are not ready for a female president… It is simply impossible at least for now… This means that, if you retain your 2020 female running mate, (which of course does not mean we cannot win with her) should we even win the 2024 general elections, and you become the president, and she, vice president, after your four years, you definitely shall exit with her… Which means a totally new face needs to be makerted in the space of one or two years, to compete with either Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, or Alan K. Kyeremanteng, all of whome are well known to Ghanaians and will still hit hard on us when we are in power to better their individual chances in 2028… So you now understand why I mentioned them as your possible sussesors right…???
Let me tell you why certain individuals wish you opt out with your running mate… This is because some guys are planning to drop their parliamentary seats for the presidential one and as such do not wish for a succession plan… If you fall for that, you would have succeeded in breaking down the bridge 🌉that gave you a smooth passage to your destination, denying the younger generation of the NDC, and Ghana at large, a smooth passage, and such individuals that behaves like that are termed ingrates, enemies of progress, witches, widzards, 😈👹devils, and all sorts of unpleasant titles… and I know Your Excellency will never wish to inherit any of this titles in your retiring days as a statesman…
Do not allow too much pressure to force you make any decision that will cause you huge regret of which will be too late…
Your running mate is a man… Not just a man, but a man with the outlined qualities, not only in the interest of the NDC, but also the nation at large…
I do not want you or any woman around you to think I am an enemy of women’s progress… If we were in normal times, there simply will be no problem at all going with a woman as our running mate, or even the main flag bearer… but as you and I may agree, we are not in normal times…
As some young ladies I engaged argued, they claimed retaining your 2020 running mate gives hope to young women, and I tried to check exactly how but I couldn’t figure it out…
Mr. Mahama, 2024 will be a year of speed… Energy is needed, military spirit is needed, endurance and perseverance is needed… For this reason I made an argument that, even if for any reason, you need a female to partner you for the purpose of giving hope to young ladies who of course constitutes about 70% of female votes across the country, don’t we have relatively younger women who are very vibrant and can stand the heat of the game and at the same time give hope to their fellow young women…??? The likes of Hanna Bisiw, Ruth Sedoh, Beatrice Annan, and so many younger ones, both in Parliament and outside parliament are there to play that role better if that’s what the debate is all about…
Your Excellency, some other individuals who are advocating for the retention of your 2020 running mate argued that the academia should be considered… If this is why we must retain a female academia, then my argument is, don’t we have young, energetic, and vibrant female academia such as Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse and others in the system…??? At least, Nana Ama is a Professor, she is and academia, she is the HoD at the physics department of the University of Ghana, she is in her early 40s, she is a two time parliamentary aspirant of AAK in the Central Region, and plays a couple of roles for the party, which includes research and communication… So you see, if the argument is actually about giving hope to the young women, if the debate is about winning the hearts of our tertiary institutions, if the aim is to have a female professor, then tell me, do we honestly think your 2020 running mate is the best option for the NDC at this very crucial time…???
Now tell me Your Excellency, must a nation that strives to succeed keep considering the older generation over young and fresh minds…??? Must we keep keeping our young and innovative minds on the bench whiles the tired old captain remains on the pitch…??? Is this idea of always appointing old folks a suggestion that our old folks did not train/ groom any younger ones of which they trust can perform better in their stead…???
Your Excellency, I by this, simply want to let you know that, I am in no way against women leading, infact, I am an advocate for women, however, there’s time for everything…
Your Excellency, I do not intend to remind any friends and families of our late heroes, H.E John Evans Atta Mills and H.E Paa Kwesi Amissa Arthur any form of pains…
Do you remember when Mills complained about his health and as such was unwilling to continue with the presidential game…???
Do you also remember a similar situation for your former Vice President, Paa Kwesi A. Authur…???
Do you also recall that your boss couldn’t hold on to life and as such you became a president at the time you least expected…???
I hope you as well remember that your vice president also couldn’t hold on to life for God knows why, but of which is believed to be on issues of health…???
Do you also consider the fact that both were Fantes from the Central Region…???
Do you remember the useless and senseless insinuations that were made by some low-thinking Ghanaians about such an unpleasant calamity that befell us… Can you remember how our opponents attempted to misbehave with such unfortunate happenings…???
If you remember all this, then I want to remind you once again that your 2020 running mate who is a very good and noble woman is also a Fante from the Central Region…
Your Excellency, I am again reminding you that your 2020 running mate shall be 73 years of age God-willing next year…
I also want to remind you that the 2024 elections will be more heated and may be more violent than what we saw in 2020… For this reason, you will need an extra energy to fight and win… For same reason, your running mate will also need an extra energy to fight along side with you…
The good news for you is that, for the purpose of succession, you will have some time to rest when you win, and most of the work shall be pushed to your running mate… For this reason, energy should also be one of the greatest things you should consider…
NB: I said energy, not age … In as much as we all agree that energy and age are not friends, it is also remarkable to note that some older folks are more energetic than some younger folks… This may be as a result of exercises…
I am also in no way attempting to condemn our elderly ones who are guiding us to wear their shoes after them… rather, I am appealing to you and to them, to kindly give the younger generation the opportunity to lead whiles they stay back and guide us when we need them… They should have confidence in the younger generation… They should believe in our abilities and capabilities…
May I humbly request of you to forgive any part of this letter that may sound unpleasant to you… Let me state in all honesty that no part of this letter is intended to disrespect, impose, or decide for Your Excellency, but all the letter body is honestly intended to draw your attention to the realities that are needed, not because I believe you aren’t intelligent enough to know the right thing to do, but simply because I know you are of a very busy schedule that sometimes, somethings may escape you, and as an open minded person that I believe you are, I feel my suggestion may remind you of somethings you already know but may have not crossed your mind…
Thanks so much for your understanding and live strong and healthy for us because Ghana needs you…
Yours in service…
