Kojo Bonsu, the former head of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has picked the forms for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential primaries.

Reverend Lilian Osei, the former Kumasi mayor’s representative, picked the forms on his behalf.

In advance of the May 13 primaries, the largest opposition party opened nominations on February 22.

John Dramani Mahama, a three-time presidential candidate, and Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, a single candidate, have since taken their forms.

Rev. Osei picked the 30,000 GH nomination forms on her boss’s behalf and stated that Mr. Bonsu had promised to do a good job if given the mandate.

“Action man” There were only three people at the NDC’s headquarters to pick Mr. Bonsu’s forms.

There was no pomp and circumstance as is customary following the picking of presidential forms.

Bismark Tetteh, one of the three people standing in for Mr. Bonsu, said that his boss is more of an action-oriented person than a populist.

He prefers to work rather than have the crowd around him make all the noise. He would rather work on things that need to be done. He is a man of action.

The picking of nomination forms will end on February 24.
