Singer Dr. Sonnie Badu has called on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to initiate full-scale investigations into allegations of monies paid to artistes who performed at the launch of the National Cathedral in the USA.
The internationally celebrated Gospel Artise made a call after his management issued a Press Statement debunking reports that he was paid $50,0000 for performing at the National Cathedral Launch and Fundraising event organized in the USA.
“I did not collect a penny, in fact, I stood outside with my team until I was called to minister because I was told there were no seats lol. At least, whoever collected the $50,000usd in my name, should give me half of it, or bring all of it since you created a budget for me … Mr. president, I don’t know what they are talking about so please look into it .. @nakufoaddo #nationalcathedralSaga“
According to the statement, the organisers of the event were nowhere to be found after the program even though they had promised to give them something as a token to support the team.

Dr. Sonnie Badu says the organisers did not offer him and his team a seat so they had to stand out, not to talk of any receiving any money as payment.
