Public Relations Officer of the Burniton Music Group Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng has disclosed that Stonebwoy’s Afcon Fan Zone performance scheduled for January 8, in Tangier, Morocco was postponed due to technical challenges on the part of the organizers.
Speaking on Onua Showbiz with Nana Kwame Gyan last Saturday, she explained that Stonebwoy and his team, after a successful sound check on the day, were prepared to perform when they were informed few minutes to the scheduled performance time that they should hold on due to some technical issues.
“Stonebwoy, after arriving in Morocco, went to do his sound check on the day and there are videos online to attest to that,” she narrated.
“After that he went back to his hotel to prepare for the performance. While we were waiting to be called to hit the stage, we were informed that we should hold on for a while due to some technical challenges,” she said.
She added that they were later informed by the organizers that the performance could not hold as the technical issues were still persisting.
“Our scheduled performance time elapsed and we still did not get the get go. Later, we were informed that our performance had to be rescheduled because the challenges were still persisting,” she added.
She, however, stated that Stonebwoy and the team are in talks with the organizers to see to it that the performance takes place, even if it means changing the city in order to give the fans a very wonderful experience.
