Fraud Alert: I don’t engage in conversations on Facebook – Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor warns public

    Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor. Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East has issued a disclaimer disassociating herself from people who are using fake accounts in her name on Facebook to defraud unsuspecting members of the public under the pretense of providing them a job.

    In a press release, the Member of Parliament stated emphatically that, “Please note that I do not engage in conversations on Facebook. Any account bearing my name and image that initiates a chat is fraudulent.

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    I have been made aware of several fake Facebook accounts using my name and image. I urge the public to disregard any messages from these accounts requesting CVs for immigration services, fire services, Armed forces, police service, and other job opportunities or financial assistance.

    Please note that I do not engage in conversations on Facebook. Any account bearing my name and image that initiates a chat is fraudulent.

    Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor snatched the Awutu Senya East seat from Mavis Hawa Koomson in the December 7, 2024 Parliamentary Elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

    She is also CEO of the NaaKoryoo Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation that is dedicated to helping the underprivileged in society.
