Ledzokuku: NDC Women’s Wing poised for 2024 victory

On Thursday, 4th July, the NDC Ledzokuku Women’s Wing led by Hajia Sherifatu Sulley and Zipporah Konyah convened a crucial meeting aimed at educating, energizing, and preparing its members for the upcoming election campaign, set for 7th December 2024. The meeting marked the beginning of strategic efforts to mobilize and galvanize the women’s wing to play a pivotal role in the campaign.

Hajia Sherifatu Sulley, the constituency Women’s Organizer, assured the women that no one would be left behind when the NDC comes to power. She encouraged the women not to be complacent but to continue their hard work. Key to her speech was the call for unity, stressing that strength lies in solidarity. She emphasized the importance of a robust house-to-house campaign drive to ensure a massive win for John Mahama and Ben Ayiku.

The constituency Organizer, Hon. James Ayiku Narh, took the opportunity to educate the women on their vital roles in the forthcoming voter registration and transfer processes, starting on 3rd August 2024. He emphasized the importance of their participation and vigilance to ensure a smooth and inclusive voter registration exercise.

E.A. Mettle-Nunoo Jnr delivered an inspiring speech focusing on the NDC’s promise to establish the National Women’s Bank, a pledge made by H.E. John Dramani Mahama. He underscored the significant role women would play in securing victory for the party’s presidential candidate, John Mahama, and parliamentary candidate, Ben Ayiku. He reiterated that the upcoming election is a communal effort aimed at rescuing Ghana, acknowledging the challenges but expressing confidence in the NDC’s triumph.

The meeting set the agenda for a comprehensive and inclusive campaign strategy aimed at mobilizing the women’s wing of Ledzokuku.
