Mr. Emmanuel A. Mettle-Nunoo Jnr has said that the establishment of a National Women’s Bank is one of the main reasons every woman in Ghana should vote for the NDC in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Mr. Mettle-Nunoo Jnr, a member of the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Communcation Team made this statement in an inspiring speech delivered at a meeting with the NDC’s Women’s Wing in the Ledzokuku Constituency on Thursday the 4th of July 2024.

Focusing on the NDC’s promise to establish the National Women’s Bank, a pledge made by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Mettle-Nunoo Jnr said the NDC holds women in high esteem and therefore is committed to promoting their socio-economic development. He explained that the idea of a state-owned Bank that will focus on women is to ensure that women are given the opportunity to access specific banking products and services that are tailored to meet their peculiar needs.

He therefore underscored the significant role women would play in securing victory for the party’s presidential candidate, John Mahama, and parliamentary candidate, Ben Ayiku in the Ledzokuku Constituency as well as other constituencies across Ghana.

He reiterated the fact that the upcoming elections is a communal effort aimed at rescuing Ghana, and therefore there is the need for the Women ‘s Wing to reach out to all women within the constituency so that they can explain the NDC’s policies to them, especially the Women’s Bank Initiative and the 24 Hour Policy.

Acknowledging the fact that there were challenges that would come their way, he was very confident that the NDC’s women’s wing would go the extra mile and work very hard to ensure that they beat the NPP’s Dr. Okoe Boye and Bawumia in order to triumphantly win both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections in the constituency.

Also present at the meeting were Constituency Women Organiser, Hajia Sherifatu Sulley and her deZipporah Konyah the, Constituency Organizer, Hon. James Ayiku Narh.

The meeting set the agenda for a comprehensive and inclusive campaign strategy aimed at mobilizing the women’s wing of Ledzokuku. With promises of significant policy initiatives and a strong emphasis on unity and hard work, the NDC Ledzokuku Women’s Wing is geared up to play a crucial role in the forthcoming elections.
