My dear friend Ruth Djokoto inspired me by defying the stereotype that women are each other’s enemies. She reached out, and I invited her to meet, leading to a great conversation. As Joyce Bawah, I’ve had diverse experiences, but my open-door approach to women stems from my past. A female leader headhunted me in England, but later became my nemesis, shattering my soul. This experience fueled my resolve to disprove the notion that women are each other’s enemies. I’ve made it a point to support and encourage women, offering help and guidance. Although I’ve had doubts, I remain committed to challenging the status quo. I’ve opened myself up to women, offering emotional and physical support. Being from a female-dominated family has also shaped my relationships with women. While I’ve encountered jealousy, gossip, and sexism, I won’t let it stop me from continuing to support women. Women rock, and the future is indeed female. – Joyce Bawah (JB)”
