Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the newly appointed General Secretary and campaign team leader for the National Democratic Party (NDC), has urged Ghanaians to see through the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) attempts to downplay the 24-hour economy policy.

Speaking on GTV’s “Talking Point” on June 23, 2024, Kwetey stated that the NPP has tried to discredit the policy, but the NDC remains committed to explaining its benefits to the public.

Kwetey explained, “We need to utilize our incentives, capacity, and procurement systems to increase production and meet existing demand, for instance, by using tariffs and tax systems as incentives, we can increase production from 100 to 200. The 24-hour economy policy is straightforward, and I believe there’s no issue with it.”
