The Caucus For Mature Democrats (CMD) is sincerely scandalised and very disappointed in such loose utterances of those who spew such TRASH. They are dishonest, myopic, and unable to see those who really are the TRUE THREAT to Ghana’s peace, constitution and democracy. For their education and information, below is to mention a few:
When President Akufo Addo said he wouldn’t hand over power to someone he defeated twice, does that depict democracy or a threat to democracy?
When the Chief Justice, Madam Araba Torkonoo publicly praised Nana Addo as the best human rights lawyer in Africa, when Nana Addo himself doesn’t have a law school classmate and who personally claimed he has lost his LAW CERTIFICATE; was her praises on nana addo Democratic or a threat to democracy as the Chief Justice of the state?
When the Supreme Court rejected JAMES GYAKYE QUAYSON his legitimately elected victory and right to serve the people of ASSIN NORTH CONSTITUENCY, and reorganized a by-election the second time which he legitimately won again, yet he has since never been allowed to serve his people; the judiciary are still using judicial terrorism against him and the people of Assin North denying them representations in parliament till date; does that depict democracy or a threat to democracy?
When Bryan Acheampong said the ruling NPP won’t hand over power if even JM and NDC legitimately wins election 2024, was that democracy or a threat to democracy?
When the attorney general advised EOCO not to investigate cecilia abena Dapaah’s unwholesome money in dollars, Euros and unspecified amounts of Ghana cedis found in her bedroom, and handed to them by the Special Prosecutor to investigate her on MONEY LAUNDERING, was that democracy or threat to democracy?
When Nana Addo appointed Jezebel Jean Mensah, his family member as EC boss, does that depict democracy or a threat to democracy?
When Nana Addo appointed Appiahene, a card-bearing member of the ruling NPP looting junta as a deputy commissioner of EC, is that democracy or a threat to democracy?
When Nana Addo appointed Bosman Asare – a TESCON member to the EC as Deputy Commissioner. Is that democracy or a threat to democracy?
When the Supreme Court told Tsatsu Tsikata during the 2020 election petition hearing that, when we get to the bridge, we shall cross it and turned around in the end to tell the world that they have removed the bridge, therefore there’s no bridge to cross. Does that depict democracy or a threat to democracy?
We are closely watching and monitoring as a Civil Society Organisation responsible for anchoring proper Democratic Principles that promote Good Governance. Such falsehoods shall never be tolerated from any quarter or angle.
