Shatta Wale, King Promise and Pat Thomas thrill fans at African Games

The opening ceremony of the 13th African Games wasn’t left to sports inclined people, as the entertainment industry came alive with electrifying and energetic performances from great Ghanaian artistes like Shatta Wale, King Promise, and the legendary Pat Thomas.

It was all moments of ecstasy when the self-acclaimed African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, mounted the stage to perform at the opening ceremony of the 13th edition of the African Games held in Accra.

Spectators couldn’t help but sing along to hits from the ‘My Level’ hit maker. Dressed in an adorable Kente cloth with a crown on his head, signifying the king he says he is, Shatta performed alongside the crowd, cheering on his songs.

Not long did the legendary Pat Thomas reignite the jamming spirit of the crowd with his live performances and dances by the National Dance Ensemble. His electrifying performance could not be resisted as spectators danced and sang along to their favourite highlife legend.

Climaxing the whole opening ceremony was the ‘transformer’ hit maker, King Promise. With his thrilling performances, fans went wild, especially as the popular Transformer song was played. Even patrons of the VIP and VVIP sections couldn’t help but sing and dance along.

The drumming sessions from the Band Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces were also not left out, as they played and drummed popular afrobeat sounds to which the crowd sang out the lyrics.
