Kofi Bentil, I bear no grudge against you for supporting any political party of your choice, indeed, you have the inalienable right to do so. But, my deep concern and disappointment with you however is your pretentious style of dealing with issues of great national importance.
I vividly remember how hard those of us in the Civil Society space had been on the then President, John Mahama during his reign as President of the republic.
In fact, you were among leading civil society actors who fiercely and unapologetically critiqued the erstwhile Mahama administration for doing right to all manner of Ghanaians.
In one of your constructive write-ups, you said “The struggle is real, spending crazy sums of money on everything from the most expensive fuel in the world to GH5 a piece snails… moving between my inverter and generator, and still suffering darkness… the struggle is real!“
Judging from the above views succinctly expressed by your good self on 28th February 2015 and your praise singing of the NPP government today even when the rot is clear and unimaginable in higher proportion as compared to any government of the Fourth Republic, am I right to say your views on the state of our country under Nana Addo Danqua Akufo Addo’s administration is jaundiced and directed by your stomach?
You said again and I quote “I am being taxed to hell, and I have to struggle with everything… I am not amused hearing platitudes!”
Kofi, how has the nuisance taxes including E-Levy imposed on the poor Ghanaians by the NPP government a relief to you? Today, are you being taxed to heaven?😅
I am very sad for you senior! Selfishly allowing your credibility to be dented in such a manner is no good news.
Well, I hope and pray the baptism of fire🔥 from a section of Ghanaians will help you eat the humble pie.
