The Ghana Tug of War Association (GHATOWA) has presented a certificate of honour to Equator Foods Ghana Limited for supporting the Kayayei Tug of War Championship.
The maiden edition of the Kayayei Tug of War Championship was successfully held at Agbogloshi, a suburb of Accra with hundreds of Kayayei coming out in their numbers to witness their colleagues ”Push & Pull To Stardom”.
The event which took place on Sunday the 24th of December had over fifteen teams participating in the Championship, with Kanjo Posaa emerging as the winners. Taking home GHC700.00 with products from sponsors as their reward.

Speaking with Sellassie Sokpe of www.betterghanadigest.com after the presentation of the certificate, Mr. Charles Oteng Acquah said the programme was scheduled for November but had to be postponed to December due to lack of sponsorship.
He added that had it not been for the support from Equator Foods Ghana Limited and One On One Foundation, they could not have organised the event at all.
Mr. Emmanuel Ola Williams, Founder and President of GHATOWA said the need for sponsorship in organising events of this nature is crucial. He called on the corporate community to also come on board in order to enable the Association organise more programs in the future.
