The National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s parliamentary candidate for Tema West Constituency, Lawyer James Enu, will lead the party on Saturday, the 3rd of February in what they describe as the ‘Tema West Year Of Victory Walk With Lawyer James Enu‘.

The walk, which has been scheduled to begin at 5:30 am from the CocaCola Roundabout on the Spintex Road and end at Sakumono Estates Junction, is expected to bring together members and supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) within the Tema West Constituency as well as other sister constituencies, including Krowor, Ledzokuku, Ayawaso West Wuogon and Ashaiman.

Tema West Year Of Victory Walk With Lawyer James Enu” is powered by the organising department of the party at the Constituency level and is under the theme ‘Rallying to empower the grassroots to win election 2024’

Other notable personalities expected at the walk shall include the Regional and National Executives of the party as well as some former appointees and members of parliament.

James Enu who is a lawyer and a politician born and raised in Tema Community 2 BBC is an indigenous individual who attended his basic education and lived all his life in Tema.

James Enu was called to the bar in 2004 and had practiced law for 18 years. He is the managing partner of Enuson And Associates, a law firm established by him. According to him, it was his names ‘Enu and sons’, that he put together to acquire the name Enuson- The law firm at which he works.

His active polical career commenced in 2011 where he contested for the NDC primaries with Honorable Fosu Ampofo, Mr Prosper Fiadomor and Mr Medea. The contest as at the time was a heated one. Lawyer Enu however, was the youngest among the three aspirants and through hardwork he emerged second at the end of the contest.

After the contest, there was a re-demarcation of the Tema Constituency and Tema Central was carved out while it was 3 months away to election and a candidate was needed urgently to stand on the the tickets of the party in the Tema Central. “This got difficult for the party because no one was willing to stand out boldly to take up that mantle since Tema Central is an NPP dominated area and a very difficult place to handle, there were deliberations and the party had to decide that since I won the second position during the primary election, hence considering me fit to take up the mantle to stand on the ticket of the party.”

Following the development, he then moved to Tema Central to contest on the party ticket 3 months to election. The task wasn’t an easy one according to him.  However, through hard work, at the end of the elections, he managed to pull out some 14,360 votes at that time.

Taking a look at the records, it indicated that the candidate who took after him could not meet up the number, he was only able to pull up 12,000.
After the election James Enu saw his work done in the Tema Central Constituency and thought he needed to come back to Tema West which he did contested for the primaries and won. Again, he had the opportunity to contest on the ticket of the party.

2016’s election was an election that hit the party hard. It wasn’t about the candidates but the party, and how the NPP came to deceive the people, throw dust into their eyes and made promises which they know cannot be fulfilled.

Lawyer James Enu didn’t contest for 2020 elections because he had to go back to review his previous performance. In reviewing the records he then realized that if he had contested for the 2020 elections, he would have won however, he didn’t because he wasn’t financially stable at the time and wouldn’t want to be a burden on the party hence paved way for others.
Lawyer James Enu is back and has expressed his interest and decision to contest in this coming election and his letter has been submitted to the constituency executives.

When asked why he wants to contest at Tema West on ‘NEW DAY ANOPA ANIDASO‘ in an interview with Peekay, he stated that “sometimes the geographical location of the candidate can be a solution to a party’s problem”

James Enu is on a rescue mission and he urges all NDC delegates and members to rally behind him while they rescue the seat from ‘this incompetent government.’ James Enu is the clue and solution to the NDC in Tema West.
