The leadership and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Odododiodio Constituency have expressed their profound gratitude to the Mustapha Gbande, for reaching out to them in an attempt to calm down tensions and unite the membership within the constituency ahead of the Parliamentary Primaries which has been challenged with a lot of controversies.
In a statement issued by the Constituency Chairman, Hon. Paul Oblie Laryea, they thanked the Deputy General Secretary, in Charge of operations for stepping up to stand with the constituency at a time when almost everybody is avoiding them.

APPRECIATION TO MUSTAPHA FOYOO GBANDE
On behalf of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Constituency Executives, The Council of Elders of the constituency, Ward Executives, Branch Executives, and party members and faithfuls in the Odododiodio constituency, I extend our deepest appreciation to Hon. Mustapha Foyoo Gbande, National Deputy General Secretary in charge of operations, for the leadership he demonstrated at a stakeholder meeting in the constituency yesterday.
The meeting, which brought together relevant party stakeholders in the constituency, including the Member of Parliament, as well as parliamentary aspirants, was held at the behest of the Deputy General Secretary to discuss issues of concern relating to the significant role of Odododiodioo as a constituency in the quest of the party winning the 2024 General elections massively.
Mr. Gbande, in his address, demonstrated courage and boldness and reminded everyone about the core values of the NDC.
“The party NDC was not founded by cowards, nor was it founded by liars. It was founded by people who are courageous, people who are determined, people with love, people with a common goal, people who are bold and people who believe that their togetherness can change the history of this country. And we should never sacrifice that commitment for any other thing.”
Mr. Gbande also urged the party faithfuls to eschew indiscipline in the party.
“Let me remind every supporter sitting here that I don’t know who will win to lead Odododiodioo, but when that person wins, he will need everyone to follow him. When you sponsor people to cause confusion in your own party because you disagree, you are not doing yourself any good. For this party is paramount, this party is superior, this party is bigger than any other individual. When we meet as a family, we can disagree, but let us have a limit so that we do not over burn the bridges. The party is bigger than everyone but the party should do the right thing at all times, and mostly in the interest of the party. We have an election to win. We don’t have just parliamentary elections to win. We are going into 2024 with Odododiodioo behind the NDC. I am here to let you know that after your primaries, we have a party to run.”
The meeting came to a close successfully and peacefully, with party faithfuls charged to work in making the NDC more attractive, even in the midst of our disagreements.
The entire constituency is indeed grateful to you, Mr. Mustapha Foyoo Gbande, for stepping up to stand with the constituency at a time when we find ourselves in a volatile environment due to some disagreements, and almost everybody is avoiding the constituency. Thank you once again for your leadership, and may God give you the strength you need to serve our party and our people well.
