On Monday, January 8, 2024, the Odododiodioo Constituency Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) orchestrated a highly significant Stakeholder Engagement. Hon. Mustapha Foyo Gbande, Deputy General Secretary in charge of Operations for the NDC, delivered a compelling address during the event.

The gathering witnessed the presence of all three aspirants – Mr. Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, Hon. Alfred Nii Kotey Ashie, and Hon. Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea. Accompanying them were Member of Parliament, Hon. Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Hon. Yaw Kundu, and the Council of Elders of the constituency.

In his impassioned speech, Hon. Gbande emphasized the core values of the NDC, stating, “The party NDC was not founded by cowards or liars, but by individuals who embody courage, determination, love, and a common goal. We should never sacrifice that commitment for any other thing.”

Continuing, he urged party supporters, “Let me remind every supporter sitting here that, I don’t know who will win to lead Odododiodioo, but when that person wins, he will need everyone to follow him. Sponsoring conflicts within the party is detrimental.

The party is paramount, superior, and bigger than any individual. We can disagree as a family, but let us have limits to avoid burning bridges. The party is bigger than everyone, but it should always do the right thing. We have an election to win, and after the primaries, we have a party to run.”

In the closing remark, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye expressed sincere appreciation to Hon. Mustapha Gbande for addressing the constituents. He emphasized his neutrality among the three aspirants, highlighting his relationships with each.

Hon. Vanderpuye affirmed, “I don’t have a problem with the three of them. I will pass on whatever I know to the chosen one among them for us to win the 2024 elections. Odododiodioo elections are strategic, and I want to tell everyone that we are united.”
