President Nana Akufo-Addo is optimistic about the nation’s future as Ghana ushers in Year 2024.

In his New Year message, He stated, “I wish all Ghanaians a Happy and Prosperous 2024. Even though we are not completely out of the woods, I am confident that, with hard work and determination, Ghana will make it, and collectively, we will secure our futures.”

Reacting to the message, Aziz Meni, the Tema Zonal Coordinator of the BringBackJM2024 Network has called on Ghanaians to ignore the message.

According to him, it will be better for the President and his appointees to start preparing their handing notes to fast-track the transitional processes in January 2025, after the NDC has won the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

He warned Ghanaians against falling for the cunning words of Nana Addo and his second-in-command, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who was at the forefront of building castles in the air during the 2016 and 2020 electioneering campaign season.

They made Ghanaians believe they had the magid wind to turn the fortunes of Ghana around within a twinkle of an eye. “In fact, they promised to transform Ghana in a hundred days, only to end up leading us into the woods, and then they blame it on COVID-19, the Ukraine – Russia War, and then now we are going into another campaign season, and you hear them saying things are getting better. Can you imagine?”

“If seven years of your Government’s hard work and determination could only take us into the woods, what difference will the remaining one year make, apart from ceiling our move into the woods?, Please.. give us a break” He lamented.
