On Tuesday 7th November, One On One Foundation organised special fun games for 10 schools to draw the curtains down on the 2023 edition of the Presbyterian Education Week celebration.
The event took place on the premises of the Ascension Presbyterian School Park in Koforidua, in the Eastern Region of Ghana between 10:00 am and 3:30 pm.
Prominent amongst the activities was the Tug of War championship which was organized under the auspices of the Ghana Tug of War Association.
At the end of the championship, in the Male Category, Effiduase Presbyterian School A placed 3rd, with Riss Presbyterian School A placing 2nd and Koforidua Presbyterian taking the 1st position.
In the Female Category, Koforidua Presbyterian E took the 3rd position, Riss C came 2nd and Koforidua Presby B emerged as the champions.
In fact, the tug of war was very tough in the sense that, the final pull lasted for about five minutes.
Winners were presented with Certificates and soft drinks from sponsors.
Other activities included Pillow Fighting, Lime and Spoon Racing, Sack Racing as well as Eating Competition among the participating schools.
At the end of the event, the Director and Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools – Eastern Region Mrs. Vida Nkansah Kyeremateng thanked God for a successful program and extended her gratitude to the organisers, teachers, and all those who participated in the event.
She finally promised that next year’s celebration will be more enjoyable than this.
