Saturday, 22nd July 2023 marked day one of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of Ahantaman Girls Senior High School (AHGISS) in the Western Region.
The day was marked with a road show coordinated by One On One Foundation led by Mr. Ola Williams from 9am to 12pm.
The royals stormed the Takoradi township amidst singing and walking through the principal streets in and around Market Circle as well as other areas after they have been taken through a total aerobics dance on campus.
The students were bused to the Star of the Sea Church premises to start and finish then students were bused again from Star of the Sea to Gyendu Park.
Some personalities who joined the students on the roadshow included the Headmistress of the school, Madam Ernestina Kankam, management as well as teaching and non-teaching members of staff. Other dignitaries comprised of old students of the school and Headteachers from other schools who were invited to participate in the event.
The celebration will last for 8 days with various programs before the durbar on Saturday 29th July and then finally, a thanks-giving church service on Sunday to climax the anniversary celebrations.
