Nii Yarboi Annan, Van Pee & others grace the Odadao Celebration in Ga Mashie

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the leadership of the NDC in the Odododiodioo Constituency led by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Hon. Paul Oblie Laryea and Mr. Nii Yarboi Annan graced the Odadaa Celebration.

Shitse Nii Yarboi Annan, traditionally known as Nii Apiakai, accompanied Nai Wulɔmɔ (The High Priest of the Ga State) into the durbar grounds.

In a joyous turn of events, the people of Ga Mashie witnessed the uplifting news of the month-long ban on drumming and noise-making being lifted. This is one of the significant activities towards embracing cultural traditions, fostering inclusivity, and celebrating the rich heritage of Ga Mashie.

The resounding beats of the Obonu drums and the joyful noise reverberating through the streets are testament to the power of cultural expression and the resilience of human heritage. The lifting of the ban on drumming and noise making has paved the way for 2023 Hɔmɔwɔ Festival, a renewed sense of unity.

Also present was the MP of Odododiodioo constituency, Hon Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the mayor of Accra madam, Elizabeth and other dignitaries.

 Michael Nii Yarboi Annan is an aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for the Odododiodio Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress for 2024.

Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, popularly known as Mr. Annan or The DON is a native of Nai We and was born in Aayalolo Accra.

He attended Richard Akwei Memorial School and Akim Secondary School. He qualified as an Account Technician after completing ACCA – UK in 2002.

Mr. Annan is a Certified Accounting Technician, Certified Information System Manager, Tax Consultant, and Advocacy; he has been practising for over 15 years now.

He worked with PKF Ghana, an international auditing firm and GLICO Ghana. He’s the Managing Consultant of Object Consult and Object Properties, which he founded in 2009. He’s also the CEO of Dons Promotion, a boxing syndicate that he started in 2018.

VISIONS FOR THE CONSTITUENCY

  1. Education: To face-lift education in Odododiodioo Constituency through the Montessori Education Standards.
    Education of constituents through all of facet of life as well as vocational training for those who are naturally gifted in order to sharpen their skills.

2.Trade: Through career and skills development, people will be educated with modern innovative ideas to ply their trades. Also, the market women will be empowered and upgraded to be able to compete with other traders on the market to gain good profit.
