Two Police Officers Injured In Raid On Suspected Criminals at Gomoa Nyanyano

Two police officers reportedly sustained injuries after they stormed the den of some suspected criminals to arrest them at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region. This happened, Sunday, May 4.

Information gathered indicates that a team of police officers from the Intelligence Unit were hunting for some thieves who had robbed some inhabitants of Kasoa and were now hiding out in Gomoa Nyanyano.

The police tracked them down to a den to make arrests after keeping an eye on their movements, but the suspects attacked the officers and left two of them hurt.

To handle the issue, the Central East Regional Police Command dispatched reinforcements.

Eight suspects were arrested, while two of them fled in handcuffs.

The eight suspects have been handed over to the Central East Regional Police Command for investigation and prosecution while the injured Police Officers are receiving treatment in a hospital. A manhunt is underway for the others who escaped.
