The Ahafo Region is one of the two new regions carved out of the Brong-Ahafo Region. The Brong-Ahafo Region was split into three regions following the December 2018 referendum. There are six parliamentary constituencies in this region.
The NDC represents two out of the six constituencies in the Ahafo Region. The Asunafu South which is represented by Hon. Collins Dauda and then Asutifi South which is represented by Hon. Eric Opoku.
