The chairman of the National Democratic Congress in the Odododiodio Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Hon. Paul Nii Oblie Laryea has expressed his profound gratitude to all stakeholders who played various roles during the just ended Presidential primaries in the Odododiodio constituency.

In a message sighted by betterghanadigest.com, Hon. Paul Oblie Laryea said he was grateful to all delegates for the massive endorsement given the former President John Dramaani Mahama with 99.47% of the votes cast in the constituency.

I wish to express appreciation to all the stakeholders who managed the successful outcome of the party’s presidential primaries in the constituency yesterday.

Special appreciation is conveyed to all delegates, including the Member of Parliament, Former Members of Parliament, Constituency Executives, Ward Executives, and Branch Executives for the massive support and goodwill they showed during the primaries which resulted in an overwhelming 99.47% endorsement of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama by the constituency to lead our party as flagbearer for the 2024 elections.

Appreciation also goes to all the Parliamentary Aspirants for their diverse support in ensuring the successful outcome of the elections.

We also appreciate the role of the Internal Elections Committee, as well as that of the district Electoral Commission.

The Ghana Police Service is also appreciated for their stellar role yesterday. Our internal security is also well appreciated.

The Odododiodio constituency is one of the sixteen constituencies that have been excluded from the just-ended NDC parliamentary primaries. The party maintains that the decision was to ensure that some internal issues at the constituency level are dealt with, to ensure unity after the elections.

The leadership of the party is yet to announce a date for the various constituents to organise separate elections to select their parliamentary candidates to represent their constituencies on the ticket of the party.
