The General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah has called on the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to investigate circumstances surrounding the release of their delegates list to the Media and also punish those who may be found to have played a role.

She made this call after Paul Adom Okyere displayed the NDC’s delegates list on TV during his Good Evening Ghana show.

According to her, it was not fair for Paul Adom Okyere, who ought to have known better, to be displaying people’s pictures to the whole world on TV especially when those people had not given their consent.

Speaking on TV3’s New Day show on Thursday morning, Nana Yaa Jantuah said the fact that they were delegates, there was a need to protect their identities. She said their names were supposed to be kept out of the public domain, adding that most people do not like to disclose their political affiliations due to reasons of job security or their personal security.

She argued that whoever caused the delegates to fall into the public domain did not have good intentions for the NDC and the earlier the party fishes him or her out the better it will be for them. “If it were to be in the CPP, we will not let this go by” she added.

She wondered what Paul Adom was seeking to achieve by displaying names and photos of delegates of the National Democratic Congress at a time the party was preparing to go for primaries.
