One of the key constituencies attracting immense attention ahead of Saturday’s Parliamentary primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is the Adentan constituency.

Young vibrant engineer Linda Awuni will be facing off with lawyer and former Gender Minister, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo and incumbent Member of Parliament, Adamu Ramadan.

Ramadan snatched the seat from New Patriotic Party’s  former Director of Communications, Yaw Buaben Asamoah in 2020 having lost to him in 2016.

But the presence of the youthful Linda Awuni who appeals to the youth and the presence of the more experienced Nana Oye who lost to Ramadan in previous contests has made the race keener than expected.

The NDC was only able to retain the Adentan seat in 2012 by replacing the incumbent Adu Asare with Ashie Moore who subsequently lost to Ramadan in the primaries.

Watch the attached report on who is likely to win the Adentan primary on Saturday: 13th May 2023.
