Yaa Konamah has chastised an NPP social media communicator for attacking her for expressing her view about Vice President Alhaji Bawumia’s decision to run for the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party.

Yaa Konama, during the newspaper review segment of UTV Adenkye Nsroma show, recounted the numerous economic lectures Dr. Bawumia presented as part of the NPP’s 2016 campaign, painting the picture that he had the solutions to all the economic challenges facing Ghana at the time. She, therefore, wondered why with Dr. Bawumia in the realm of affairs as the head of Ghana’s Economic Management Team the economy is still nothing good to write home about.

She also called on Dr. Bawumia to make his position on E-Levy known to Ghanaians since he is on record to have said that the NPP Government will not tax the poor. She opined that considering the many taxes the NPP had introduced, contrary to their promise of moving Ghana from taxation to production, Ghanaians were interested in hearing the Vice President’s thoughts; particularly regarding E-Levy, which was passed in spite of serious public resistance.

Unfortunately, the NPP social media communicator who was monitoring the show sent a text message in an attempt to defend his paymasters and descended angrily on the presenter with all manner of words that do not deserve to be repeated here.

In a quick but strong response, the renowned presenter called on NPP communicators to stop attacking Journalists when they state the facts as they are. She went on to remind them that the NPP is not beyond reproach so as journalists they will continue to raise issues that deserve national attention.
