Ghana celebrates its 66th Independence Day on this holiday.
Ambrose Dery, the Interior Minister, has signed a press statement that says this.
The release stated, “The general public is hereby informed that Monday, March 6, 2023, Independence Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

The Volta Region will commemorate this year’s anniversary.
The Volta Region’s selection, according to Mr. Lord Commey, Director of Operations at the President’s Office, is consistent with the President’s personal commitment to rotate the event among regions to strengthen national unity.
