Provisional results for 43,742 individuals who took the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates have been made available by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

The entry figure, according to WAEC, consists of 20,164 men and 23,578 women. Two candidates had a hearing impairment and 76 had a visual impairment.

Additionally, 901 candidates had their results withheld due to alleged exam malpractice.

The Council urged the general public to be on the lookout for con artists who might contact candidates and offer to improve their results for a fee that must be paid through mobile money transfers.
