Born in Damanko in the Oti Region of Ghana as Julius Ahortor Quashiegah, MaGuy comes from Mafi-Tove in the Volta region of Ghana
As a child, he started his primary education at Ayalolo Basic School in Accra after which he went on to attend Nkwanta JSS ‘A’ from 1999 to 2002 where he wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.EC.E).
MaGuy continued to acquire his secondary education at Nkwanta Senior High School between 2002 and 2005 where he studied Business.
After successfully passing the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), MaGuy was admitted into the University of Cape Coast from 2006 to 2010 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Social Sciences.
Shortly after completing his University Education at University of Cape Coast (UCC), MaGuy started his career as an MC in 2010 hosting all sorts of events during occasions to the extent that he became the go to name as far as event hosting was concerned.
As an MC, MaGuy has to his credits many high profile events. Notable amongst them are Battle The Mic 2014, 2015, 2016, EDEM live in Nkwanta, BISA K Dei live in Nkwanta, Wutah live in Nkwanta, Screw Face live in Nkwanta, and Patapaa live in Nkwanta, all in Oti Region. Others include Oti Stars ’22 and Oti Most Elegant ‘21 and 22
Media 2012 to date
In 2012, MaGuy made the decision to try radio and till date he has not regretted making that decision. Presently, he is a presenter at Beyond FM in Nkwanta where he hosts the Morning Show, Lunch Time Rhythmz, Drive Time Show, and the Beyond Entertainment Desk.
Since 2012 to date Julius Ahortor Quashiegah took up a teaching appointment with Nkwanta Senior High School teaching Business Management till date.
Apart from being a renowned media personality, Julius Ahortor Quashiegah is also doing well as an entrepreneur. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of RichGuy Group, a small business he started in 2019. The company deals frozen foods, cosmetics and general goods. He is also into online media and events organization.
He is happily married and is expecting to start a family together with his lovely wife.
