Zorkor United Sporting Club is set to start its maiden Regional Division Two League opener this weekend with a crucial away match against Bolga FC.
The match which is to take place on the 14th of January 2023 at St. John’s park in the regional capital Bolgatanga is a much-anticipated match between the two powerful teams.
The debutants’ starts their Division Two league with a crunch match against Bolga FC popularly known as the Royals. The match promises to be exciting and full of fire works, as both clubs seek to clinch their first three (3 ) points.
Despite the fact that sports commentators predict Bolga FC as favourites for the day, the Prestigious Zorkor United SC remains a dark horse. Both clubs are expected to feature their new signings.
According to the head coach of Zorkor United SC Emmanuel Nkuo “We are prepared, motivated and determined to make our stakeholders proud by collecting the first three (3) points.” he stated. Also, their Women’s team – Zorkor Liberty Queens will host Yorogo Youngsters in the Women’s Division One League at the Zorkor SHS Park at 8:00am same day.
The Prestigious Zorkor United Sporting Club was formed in 2017 as a Division Three Club. The club has since been a formidable force with a unique brand in the region. They qualified for the Division Two League in the 2021/2022 football season with an impeccable record.
