Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the member of Parliament for North Tongu and ranking member Committee on Foreign Affairs has refuted claims that the GHS2.6 million paid to JNS Talent Centre Ltd is a loan refund.

Honourable Ablakwa has been very instrumental in revealing numerous shady deals under the guise of expenditure related to the construction of the controversial national cathedral, with the latest one being the payment of a whooping GHS2.6 million to JNS Talent Centre Ltd.

Since the revelation was made public, there have been several attempts by some communicators for the ruling NPP Government to create the impression that the said payment was a loan refund.

However, the lawmaker in a post on his Facebook page, revealed that according to a document presented to Parliament by the National Cathedral Secretariat, the said payment was captured as contractors mobilization.

This is a document presented to Parliament by the National Cathedral Secretariat when they sought approval for the infamous 2023 Budget allocation of GHS80 million.

Note that JNS received GHS2.6 million for “Contractors Mobilization” not a loan refund as NPP propagandists claim.”
