Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, has suggested that a new document in his possession reveals that Enterprise Insurance received a sweetheart deal to insure the cathedral construction site as a whole.
This was posted by Ablakwa in the morning hours of Saturday, January 7, 2023, on his Twitter account.
Some Ghanaians have voiced their displeasure with the national cathedral project, claiming that it is an opportunity to squander taxpayer funds.
However, some board members and government officials argued that the cathedral’s construction is a positive step because they believe it will boost the economy when it is finished.
