Rashid Isah, an aspiring Parliamentary candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress spent this year’s Boxing Day with children at Baatsona in the Tema West constituency.
Explaining his rationale for the event, Rashid Isah said Christmas is one of the special and momentous occasions when people show love to one another. “It is actually a perfect time when we all gather as one despite our indifferences to celebrate.”
As part of efforts to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Tema west most especially children, he together with his team deemed it fit to reach out to those who are deprived in the constituency.
He presented cartons of biscuits, soft drinks, balloons, and toys to the children and interacted with some parents who came with their wards to the program.
The event, which took place between 3 pm and 6 pm, brought together over four hundred children and women who were mainly residents of Kiosk Estates, a suburb of Baatsona.
Also present at the event were branch executives and other members from the party’s six branches within the Baatsona Ward, namely the Accra Ridge Church Branch A, B, C, and D and Presby Church Branch A and B.
in his remarks, Mr. David Avoryi, Chairman of the Accra Ridge Branch-A, who received the donation on behalf of the six branches expressed their gratitude to the NDC’s Tema West Parliamentary Candidate hopeful.
