Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability, Mr. Mensah Thomspon says the New Patriotic Party under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has clerly demonstrated to Ghanaians the real characteristics of an incompentent leadership.

In a reacting to the recent power outages accross the country, Mr Thomson took to his facebook page to express his frustration about the situation.

“You see the last six years has really taught us what the real meaning of incompetence is, we were served a way different meaning between 2012-2016..

According to the ASEPA Boss, nothing was more painful than Ghanaians having to spend days in darkness not because there’s no power but rather, as a result of people’s inability to manage a simple software, adding that it would go into Ghana’s history books as the most absurd causes of a power crisis ever experienced.

“People were labeled incompetent because of shortage of gas to power thermal plants and inadequate production capacity to meet high demand, the incompetent people, therefore, put measures in place to ensure there was enough power to meet demand, handed it over the so-called competent one only to be dragged into dumsor because the competent one just couldn’t manage a simple software.”

In his view, Ghanains were lucky to have had John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in power during the period of 2012 to 2016 when Ghana was eperiencing Dumsor, which was due to inadequate power generation – a problem that was inherited from the NPP Government under former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

“Ghanaians should really be thankful that John Dramani Mahama became President from 2012-2016, because what we would have been served with during that inevitable power crisis would have been a cocktail of arrogance, blame games and nothing but excuses!!”
