Member of Parliament for the Odododiodio constituency, Hon. Edwin Nii Lanty Vanderpuye joined the International Football Community to honour distinguished personalities associated with the game at the 3rd Calcio Trade Ball on Saturday evening at the plush Kempiski Hotel in Accra.
The event which was organised by the Arthur Legacy and the Italian Embassy in Ghana brought together International footballers across the African Continent, who plied their trade in Italy.
Also in attendance were members of the diplomatic community in Ghana, the Minister for Youth and Sports, the Executive Secretary to the President of Ghana, Sports Writers, and Africa and Ghanaian Professional players in the Italian Serie A.
Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, presented together with the President of the Sports Writers Association, Kwabena Yeboah, the Life Time Achievement award to Alhaji Karim Grusah, for his contribution to the development of football talents in the past four decades and the first Ghanaian to transfer a player to Italy.
He also had interactions with Afua Bawuah, a Football Administrator and former Ghanaian Internationals, Kojo Asamoah, Awuley Quaye Jnr. Sam Johnson.
