The member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has signed a contract for the establishment of the North Tongu-TIAST Cassava Starch Factory project.

A deal has been finalised with Chinese engineers and another contract with a Chinese offtaker has been signed and whilst out-growers in the area have also been empowered.

According to the lawmaker, 5,000 acres of farmland have been secured for the commencement of the project which is expected to provide approximately 2,000 jobs directly in his district.

Ghana is faced with a variuos problems including unemployment, education, health, inflation, roads etc.

In his constituency, Okudzeto Ablakwa is poised to address one of these challenges. Okudzeto and his crew are planning to build a starch factory in North Tongu.

Hon. Ablakwa is without a doubt one of Ghana’s most industrious MPs.
