ASEPA has officially petitioned the World bank Integrity Division through its Vice-President Daniel Nikolits to commission a formal enquiry into the use of the $660million World bank Covid-19 cash given to the Government of Ghana in 2020 to assist in the fight against Covid-19.

According to Mr. Mensah Thompson, Execuive Director of ASEPA, every medium to get the Government of Ghana to account for the use of the money has failed including through the Parliament of Ghana. The World Bank, therefore, remains the last resort to get the Government account for the use of these funds.

In a response, the World Bank thanked ASEPA for the vigilance and gave assurance that it will investigate the issue.
