Agribusiness is one of the surest ways to leapfrog Africa from poverty to prosperity – John Mahama

His Excellency Former President John Dramani Mahama has called re-iterated the need for Africa to develop its Agribusiness sector in order to meet the food security challenges facing the continent.

In a message he posted on his official facebook page, H.E. John Mahama noted that Africa had come a long way but still has more challenging times ahead.

“We’ve come a long way since May 25, 1963 when the OAU was formed. But we have many more steep mountains to climb.”

He took the opportunity to congratulate African farmers and urged governments and the business community across the African Continent to invest more into agriculture, value addition and marketing of African products.

According to the H.E. Former President Mahama, Agribusiness is one of the surest ways to leapfrog Africa from poverty to prosperity.

He ended by wishing all Africans home and abroad, particularly his followers a Happy African Union Day.
