Authorities of Tolon Senior High gear up to re-open after fire gutted dormitories last week

The Committee set up to secure suitable accommodation for students of the Tolon Senior High School has submitted its final report to the District Chief Executive.

According to GBC’s Murtala Issah, the report among other things recommended that boys be moved to a compound house in town, whilst the girls are moved into the boys’ dormitory on campus.

The Authorities are confident that the school will reopen on Friday, May 27, 2022, to enable academic work to continue.

A 5-member committee was set up by the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Northern Region to find the cause of last Wednesday’s fire outbreak at the Tolon Senior High School.

The Committee was expected to provide an alternative place of abode for the students who are due to return to school later this week.

The Committee is expected to present its report on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
