The member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has expressed concerns regarding the unproffesional conduct of some personel within the Ghana Police Service in recent times.
The lawmaker said, Ghana has become a country where blood-thirsty hoodlums in the Ghana Police Service have been emboldened to go on persistent reckless shooting sprees killing innocent young people as we saw during the 2020 elections, in Ejura and now in Nkoranza.
According to him, they (Police Officers) do not spare their own colleagues in uniform when they chance on their crimes; while at it.
Again, he said some officers have resorted to high-handed unwarranted arrests of critical voices as they keep doing to Barker Vormawor, and yet, the unscrupulous land looters who demolished the Bulgarian Embassy and the Nigerian High Commission are enjoying total and absolute freedom — fully protected by their powerful collaborators in high places.
