The member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency has stated that henceforth, victims of sexual abuse in his constituency will not be required to pay any amount as fees for a medical doctor to sign their Police reports.
In a tweet he posted on his official Twitter page, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said this was a special “Mothers’ Day” gift for his constituents.
“Under our latest North Tongu MP’s initiative — we have with immediate effect abolished all charges victims of sexual offences are required to pay when they submit police medical forms for a doctor’s report. A Mothers’ Day Gift for my beloved North Tongu.”
