His Excellency the former President of Ghana has expressed his heartfelt wishes for all Ghanaians the world over in his Easter Message.
In a facebook post he did on Friday the 15th of April, the Former President who is currently the Leader of the opposition National Democratic Congress noted that Easter marks the day Jesus was crucified for humanity to be saved.
“Today, Good Friday, marks the day Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for the world, so that all who believe in the gospel will be saved.”
He went on to remind all Christians about the essence of the day and why it is celebrated.
“As Christians, we celebrate this special day and call it GOOD because by Christ’s crucifixion and death, our sins have been atoned for and we are now a new creation with a mandate to live as Christ did”.
His Excellency John Dramani Mahama wished that the day will bring back hope among other things to all Ghanaians.
“May this holy day rekindle in us hope, forgiveness, sacrifice, compassion and the love of God.”.
