Management of the Prestigious Zorkor United Sporting Club has congratulated their Ladies team for holding Vea Future Queens to 2 : 2 drawn game to top the Upper East Women’s Division One, zone One League Table. The No Shaking Ladies fought gallantly by going unbeaten throughout the group stages gaining 19 points.
Addressing the Ladies after the match, the CEO of the Club, Hon. George A-engbinge Afari praised the maidens for their determination, bravery and resilience level. ” I salute you the players, coaches and supporters for lifting the name of Zorkor high above my expectations. You have made yourselves, management and the community ( Zorkor) proud by your achievements. We appreciate your efforts and shall duly reward you at the appreciate time “. He concluded.
The Prestigious Ladies have therefore qualified to the Regional Super Zonals – Top Six scheduled for 14th and 15th of August, 2021 at the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium.The Prestigious Ladies are placed in group two alongside Bolga All Stars Ladies and Save the Frog FC of Chiana. The group one is also made up of Sumbrongo Ladies, Vea Future Queens and Sharp Arrows or Yelwoko Ladies.
The winners of each groups automatically qualifies for the FA cup and a play-off to determine the eventual winner for the region.
The No Shaking girls are highly enthusiastic and promises to prove a point at the Top Six Level.
The ladies team was formed late 2020 in line with the four(4) year development plan of the Prestigious Zorkor United Sporting Club. The team is still in it’s developmental stage gaining grounds day by day and shall soon be a formidable force in the Ladies competition.
