The Bongo district football association has imposed an indefinite ban on Yarko Babies also known as Namoo united from playing their home matches at their park which is the Namoo primary B school park.
The team will henceforth not be able to play their home matches at the usual venue.
The imposition of the ban became necessary following a physical attack on officiating officials, head coach, players, and supporters of Zorkor United SC on 21st July 2021 by supporters of Namoo United during their home march in the ongoing division three league.
In a letter dated 23rd July 2021 which was signed by the general secretary of the association, Mr. Azaare Tahiru Ayuuba, the decision was taken in an emergency meeting by the executive council of the association on the 22nd of July, 2021.
The letter also added that the decision is in accordance with article 14(2) of the GFA/RFA regulations; the team will therefore with immediate effect play all their home marches at Beo Samba Stars Park at Kayooga in accordance with article 14(3) of the GFA/RFA regulations.
The team is further charged to face the disciplinary committee of the association in accordance with the rules of the association.
The association also capitalized on the incident to charge all team managers to educate their team supporters against violence for no team is above the law.
Sources also disclosed that one of the players who took part in the attack has been arrested
