“WE NEED A RESILIENT AND ROBUST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY TO FIGHT SOPHISTICATED CRIMES IN THE COUNTRY” – IGP

The Inspector General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh has reiterated the need for a resilient and robust Police Service to succeed in winning the fight against criminal activities in the country.

His comment comes at the back of the recent increase in crime rate and the continuous involvement of sophisticated equipment in crimes across the country, it boarders and transnational.

Mr. Oppong Boanuh was addressing this year’s congregation for the Opening of Promotion Course for Constables.

The Program will run across the country simultaneously in two weeks, with the aim to train some 11,854 personnel of various ranks who are pending promotion.

The IGP added that, the quality of human resource in every organization is considered paramount for high quality performance and sustainability, which the police are no exception, hence, the need for organizing such programs, to enhance the capacity of personnel to live up to their mandate.

Mr. Oppong Boanuh also advised personnel to use the opportunity to broaden their horizon on contemporary law enforcement strategies and prepare for the task ahead of them in their professional career.
