The Akwamuhene of Safo in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Nana Agyemang Kodom has appealed to Ghanaians to do away with Partisan politics in this year’s Population and housing census to ensure development in the Country.
He highlighted the importance of censuses which dated back to before the birth of Christ when Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem to do their civic duty.
According to Nana Agyemang Kodom, the Population and Housing Census is important because the nation needs to know current numbers, distribution, and growth rates for effective planning.
He appeals to the general public and all who live outside their various Communities to come home and get counted in the upcoming census to ensure development.
He therefore calls on Census Officers to exercise patience when collecting data from the residents in other to avoid any chaos.
