The President of policy think-thank IMANI Ghana, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has joined a number of people who have expressed disappointment in the EC Boss’ decision not to testify before the supreme court in the 2020 Election Petition.

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe in a tweet posted on his official twitter page observed that the former EC Chairperson, Madam Charlotte Osei would have taken the opportunity of testifying before the courts to defend her work.

His tweet is in reaction to the decision of lawyers for the 1st and 2nd respondents who had indicated to the supreme court that they do not intend calling any witness to testify in the case.

Even though they had submitted witness statements by the current EC Boss and Mr. Mac Manu who represented the 2nd respondent in the case before the apex court, the lawyers were of the view that the petitioner had not been able to satisfy the burden of proof bestowed on them by law.

Since the declaration of this decision in court, many people have turned to social media to express their disappointment at the turn of events.
